este dedicat dezbaterii chestiunilor complexe ale tranziției de la Neolitic la Eneolitic în spațiul central și sud-est european. Deschiderea lucrărilor va avea loc în data de 10 noiembrie la orele 9,30 în prezența consulului Germaniei la Timișoara. Comunicările vor fi publicate de instituțiile organizatoare în prestigioasa serie de monografii a Universității Libere din Berlin (Freie Universität Berlin), Praehistorische Archaeologie in Suedosteuropa, precizează Prof. Dr. Florin Draşovean, unul dintre cei mai importanţi cercetători români în domeniul preistoriei.
Evenimentul este organizat de Muzeul Banatului Timișoara în colaborare cu Institutul de Arheologie Preistorică din cadrul Universității Libere din Berlin, iar la deschidere va fi prezent şi consulul Germaniei la Timişoara.
La lucrările simpozionului participă specialiști de marcă din Austria, Bulgaria, Croația, Germania, Grecia, Ungaria, Serbia, Ucraina și România.
